Wet Nose Wednesday and Why Dogs Noses are Wet

There are a lot of hastags out there in the world. One of my favorite ones is #WNW or #WetNoseWednesday which means if you do not know- wet nose Wednesday! Don't you just love a wet nose?

Did you know it is commonly thought that when a dog's nose is cold and wet that they are healthy but according to Dog Heath.com that is not necessarily true! Did you also know that a dogs sense of smell is 1 million times great than a human?

There is a great article that explains Why Dogs Have Wet Noses on Dog Health.com

  8. Hi Kiki! My brother, Küster uses his nose for work. He's a search and rescue dog and his nose knows what's going on! Our sense of smell puts the human nose to shame for sure!

  13. Thanks for the fun wet nose info. The fact that a dog's sense of smell is 1 million times better than humans makes perfect sense for my puppy Bailey who walks with her nose is stuck to the ground.

  14. Oh thank you for telling us something we didn't know about dogs, about the cold wet part, cause Sydney's nose is usually warm and dry.

We hope you will hop on over and read the 10 things we learned about pet rabbits and more on our Dog Leader Mysteries blog.

    1. My name is actually Yukiko which means Happy in Japanese. The breeder was so happy when myself and my siblings were born that she named us each a name for Happy in another language but when my mom saw me the first time she called me Kiki, We kept the name Yukiko but my family and friends call me Kiki - I am a Happy Havanese!
